Welcome to the Best Preschool and Daycare in Alameda
Little Butterflies is a sensory-play-based licensed preschool in Alameda built on evidence-based teaching methods and multisensory approaches, which are shown to encourage learning and retention. Our space is created to inspire exploratory play and is designed by an Occupational Therapist. The Little Butterflies team is dedicated to providing enrichment for cognitive, social, and emotional growth, while instilling the value of community responsibility in our children.
We’re part of the Swings and Wings family and prepare children aged 2.5 through 5 for kindergarten and beyond. For older children, we offer a range of day camps and open play times.
How do you choose the best preschool for your child?
We recommend choosing a preschool within a short commute that caters to the needs of both you and your child. It should encourage learning in an environment that helps them feel confident when trying new things. At Little Butterflies, we feel privileged to be a part of a child’s most important formative years and strongly believe in a well- rounded educational approach. This means that we strive to nourish the body, the mind, and the heart of the child.
We put strong emphasis on motor, cognitive, and social-emotional development and believe in guiding our children to be kind, empathetic, and socially responsible. We strive to foster independence and the pursuit of individual passions while also teaching our children to manage their emotions, respect themselves and each other, and take responsibility for their actions. We believe in modeling these behaviors for our children to create a safe haven where they feel secure, supported, and free to engage in constructive learning.
